The objective of these studies is to evaluate the immune response and tolerability of investigational vaccines. By participating, you contribute to the development of potentially more effective seasonal protection for your age group.

Typically, participants receive either the investigational vaccine or an already licensed vaccine; many studies do not use a placebo. Participation generally involves a single injection followed by periodic check-ins over a single respiratory season to monitor health and immunity.

Study Benefits

There is no cost for study visits or study-related procedures and no insurance is required. Participants receive $100 for each completed visit, and transportation to and from every visit is arranged by our team.

Important Eligibility Criteria

• 65 years of age or older
• In generally stable health
• Long-term conditions such as diabetes, heart disease or high blood pressure are usually acceptable if stable for 3 months
• No flu shot in the last 6 months
• No lab-confirmed flu in the last 6 months
• No known allergy to flu vaccines or a previous mRNA vaccine
• No history of myocarditis after an mRNA vaccine
• Able to attend study visits
