Actively Recruiting Indication

Bipolar Depression Research

Investigational studies for children, teens, and adults living with bipolar I or II depression.

About This Indication

Bipolar depression can be difficult to treat with traditional methods. Research is exploring new mechanisms in the brain, such as potassium channel modulation, to address core symptoms like loss of pleasure.

The goal of these studies is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of new oral medications. Participation helps researchers understand if these therapies can bring relief sooner than existing options.

Programs are available for different age groups, from pediatric to adult populations. Participation involves comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, health monitoring, and specialized assessments like ECGs.

Study Benefits

Study-related procedures are provided at no cost. Compensation and transportation support may be available, including round-trip Uber rides for you and your child to every study visit.

  • Compensation for completed visits (up to $1,500 total for adult trials)
  • Transportation support available, including round-trip Uber rides to visits
  • Study-related medication and procedures provided at no cost
