About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Research Nurse to join our Stone Mountain, Georgia team on a PRN basis. This role offers flexible scheduling while providing critical support to clinical trial operations. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in clinical research nursing, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic research environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient screening, enrollment, and study visits according to protocol requirements
- Perform clinical assessments, vital signs, phlebotomy, ECGs, and other study-related procedures
- Administer investigational products and medications per protocol specifications
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in source documents and electronic data capture systems
- Monitor patient safety and report adverse events in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Educate patients and families about study procedures, informed consent, and expectations
- Maintain regulatory compliance with FDA, ICH-GCP, and institutional guidelines
- Coordinate with Principal Investigators, study coordinators, sponsors, and CROs
- Assist with patient recruitment and retention activities
- Maintain study supplies, equipment, and laboratory specimens
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience
- Valid BLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and data capture systems
- Flexibility to work as needed based on study demands
- Previous clinical research experience (preferred)
- CCRP or ACRP certification (preferred)
- Experience with Phase I–IV clinical trials (preferred)
- Familiarity with ICH-GCP guidelines and FDA regulations (preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred)
- Experience in neurology, psychiatry, wound care, or other specialty therapeutic areas (preferred)
- Bilingual capabilities, Spanish or other languages (preferred)
- Physical requirements: ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Physical requirements: manual dexterity for performing clinical procedures
- Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Physical requirements: visual acuity for detailed documentation and patient assessment
